Wild fish and their waters need your help. Will you join us in making a difference?
WildFish is a charity dedicated to conserving wild fish and their aquatic habitats.
We’re seeking a Director, Scotland, who will play a leading role in designing, planning and executing national campaigns and representing the charity in Scotland.
You’ll be responsible for developing innovative strategies, working in partnership with the wider WildFish team and external partners, and managing key relationships with stakeholders, including parliamentarians and media. You will also oversee the charity’s Off the table campaign.
Open-net salmon farming severely damages wild salmonid populations and compromises the integrity of the marine and freshwater ecosystems. We campaign for the closure of all existing open-net salmon farms and robustly oppose any proposed expansion of existing farms or the establishment of new farms.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a proven track record in campaign management and strategic thinking, to take the helm at a pivotal moment in the organisation’s long-standing campaign to curb the negative environmental impacts of open-net salmon farming, as well as other issues impacting wild fish populations.
