WildFish is the UK’s only independent, environmental charity working to protect wild fish and their waters.

Protecting wild fish populations and their waters is no ordinary challenge – it is a critical fight for survival. Every day, our rivers, lakes, and coastal waters face mounting threats, from pollution and habitat destruction to weak enforcement of environmental laws. But thanks to your support, we are making a difference.

The 2024 WildFish Impact Report highlights a year of progress, meaningful change and relentless advocacy. This report showcases the tangible results of our efforts, the stories behind our successes, and our unwavering commitment to reversing the decline of wild fish populations.

Creating Change

Armed with SmartRivers data – collected by our dedicated community of volunteers – we use science and the law to drive change, holding both the government and polluters to account. With every campaign, legal challenge and policy intervention, we fight for healthy, flowing water free from barriers.

As a small but agile organisation, we react quickly to the myriad of challenges threatening wild fish. We focus on what matters most – whether it’s ending open-net salmon farming, exposing water companies’ failures, or pushing for stronger protections.

This is Your Impact

None of this would be possible without you. This report is a record of the impact that you – our dedicated supporters – made possible in 2024. Every action you take, every petition you sign and every donation you give fuels our fight for wild fish. Thank you.
