The auction funds the critical work WildFish does - using science and the law - to safeguard a future for wild fish.

Today, WildFish has opened its 2024 annual fundraising auction. Proceeds will fund the charity’s call for urgent change to how wild fish and their habitats are protected by enforcing the regulations that should prevent harm from pollution and removing open-net salmon farms from Scottish waters.

Hosted online between 9 – 29 September 2024, the auction will offer diverse and fabulous fishing opportunities as well as a selection of art, collectables, and hospitality.

Action to protect wild fish is as urgently needed as ever. Freshwater species are disappearing at five times the rate of those on land and our beloved Atlantic salmon is now endangered in UK waters.

Nick Measham

Chief Executive at WildFish

The lots offer a fantastic selection of UK fishing from the wilds of Scotland to the unrivalled beauty of our classic southern chalk streams. For those seeking adventure further afield, there is the brilliant opportunity to fish for golden dorado from the Don Joaquin River Lodge in Argentina and a saltwater fishing experience that is truly out of this world from the remote seclusion and luxury of the Seychelles.

The River Laxa I Kjos is the centrepiece of one of the most stunning glacially forged valleys in Southern Iceland. One lucky bidder will call this remarkable place home for an unforgettable three day trip.

It doesn’t end there! If you enjoy the finer things in life, this year’s auction also offers a very special opportunity to enjoy dinner for ten at The Don in London hosted by David Gleave of Liberty Wines.

Situated on St. Swithin’s Lane in London, The Don takes its name from the famous caped symbol of Sandeman Port and is where Sandeman has shipped its wines since the since the early 1800s. You and your guests will be treated to a classically English menu, situated in this stunning private dinning room, matched with some outstanding wines from around the world.
