The proceeds of our annual auction ensure that the work of our dedicated team - to protect wild fish and their waters - continues.

We are thrilled to announce that our 2024 fundraising auction has raised a staggering £115,379 and broken all of our previous records!

With over 180 lots to choose from, this years auction had something for everyone. The outstanding lots on offer included an unrivalled selection of UK fishing from the wilds of Scotland to the beauty of our classic southern chalk streams and, for those seeking adventure further afield, a brilliant opportunity to fish for golden dorado from the Don Joaquin River Lodge in Argentina as well as a saltwater fishing experience from the remote seclusion and luxury of the Seychelles. For those who enjoy the finer things in life, a very special opportunity to enjoy dinner for ten at The Don in London hosted by David Gleave of Liberty Wines was also up for grabs!

Why we need your help

Every day brings new challenges for wild fish. Every day the health of fresh water deteriorates further. The money raised in our fundraising auction supports the work of our dedicated team who campaign tirelessly to reverse the decline of wild fish populations and protect the waters they live in.

The proceeds generated in our annual action will fund vital research and ensure that our campaigns are led by the latest science and the law.

Action to protect wild fish is as urgently needed as ever. Freshwater species are disappearing at five times the rate of those on land and our beloved Atlantic salmon is now endangered in UK waters.

Nick Measham

Chief executive, WildFish

Nick continued: “the auction funds the critical work our team does – using science and the law – to safeguard a future for wild fish. We have been humbled by the open-handed response from all our supporters this year. Donors were unstinting in giving – and bidders were equally enthusiastic when it came to bidding!”.

The auction which closed on Sunday 29 September at 8 p.m. was an incredible result for wild fish and their waters.

Our warmest thanks to everyone who participated in making this – our most important fundraising event – the best one yet.
